BIG NEWS: BackerKit Surveys are coming TUESDAY!
Important reminder for all backers, especially those new to Kickstarter or BackerKit: This is a longer update, but please take a few minutes to read through all of it. We’ve included instructions to make the process as easy as possible. Every backer, regardless of pledge tier, will need to complete their BackerKit survey so we can confirm your order and deliver the rewards to you on time!

BackerKit Survey Opens: August 11, 2026 BackerKit Survey Closes: September 23, 2026 Additional BackerKit purchases will be charged: September 24, 2026*
*Your original Kickstarter pledge has already been paid for. This charge applies only to any additional add-ons, shipping costs, or pledge-tier upgrades purchased through BackerKit.
We are looking forward to delivering the BackerKit pledge manager survey! A small number of you may be receiving it today as part of our final test, but most of you will be receiving it throughout the day on August 11, 2026.
Important: If you chose "PLEDGE OVER TIME" on Kickstarter you will NOT receive your survey until you make your final payment. See below for more info.
You will receive an automated email from [email protected] containing your personal link. Please make sure to add the email address to your contacts and check your spam or promotions folder for the email. If you haven't received your survey by August 14, 2026, please send an email to [email protected].
The BackerKit survey is our pledge manager survey. This is where you’ll:
Finalize shipping for your pledge rewards
Upgrade your pledge (optional)
Purchase additional add-ons you may have missed from the campaign! (optional)
And if you’re a retailer, this is where you will:
Finalize order quantities
Finalize shipping for your orders
Purchase additional add-ons from the campaign
BackerKit Survey Instructions
Once you receive your survey, you will need to complete the following sections of the survey listed below to ensure you receive your rewards.
1. Pledge confirmation 2. Pledge questions 3. Review or purchase additional add-ons 4. Confirm shipping 5. Review and submit your order
Step 1: Pledge Confirmation - When you receive your custom survey link, you will be taken to a page displaying the level you pledged. If you click on your order YOUR PLEDGE LEVEL (highlighted in blue), you’ll be able to see all the rewards including the add-ons and stretch goals you received during the campaign.
This is also where you will be able to upgrade your pledge if you choose to do so.
WARNING: You will not be able to switch back to your previous pledge level, so take care when exploring that option.
If the information looks good, click on the Get Started Button!
Step 2: Pledge Questions - Next, you will be taken to additional questions that you must answer. Complete the questions to be taken to the add-ons section!
Step 3: Review or purchase additional add-ons - You will be taken to the add-ons page. This will be your last opportunity to purchase these add-ons before they are gone for good! The add-ons will also incur additional shipping charges. When you’re all set, you will be asked to confirm your order.
Please Note: If you purchased any add-ons during the campaign, those add-ons will automatically be added to your pledge level. You will be asked to confirm those are the correct add-ons.
Step 4: Confirm Shipping - Here is where you’ll be asked to confirm your shipping address.
Please note: If you pledged a digital-level only, you will not have to worry about this step. The digital PDFs will arrive through BackerKit when the book has been completed! Stay tuned for more information in the future.
Step 5: Review and submit your order - This is where you will confirm your order. If you added add-ons to your order or upgraded your pledge, this is where you will finalize your payment. Click on the Place My Order button to finish up!
Important: Your original Kickstarter pledge will not be charged again. If you purchase additional items or upgrade your pledge in BackerKit, your card will be charged for those additional items + Shipping on September 24.

Your surveys will automatically get sent out within 72 hours of your final payment. If you are curious about how pledge over time works, you can find out more information below:
Patreon Subscribers
Good news! If you pledged the Kickstarter campaign using the same email address associated with your Patreon account, the Worlds Beyond Number: The Wizard, the Witch, & the Wild One #1 comic will automatically be added to your order, like this:
If you used a different email address for your Kickstarter pledge, don’t worry. You will be able to confirm the email address associated with your Patreon account in the BackerKit survey. Simply complete that section of the survey, and we’ll make sure the comic is included in your order. You do not need to delay completing your survey while waiting for the comic to appear.
We will continue updating eligible orders while surveys are open.
Please note: To receive the comic, you must be an active Patreon subscriber in good standing in August or September 2026.
Free Be Kind Pin
If you are eligible for a free Kickstarter-exclusive BE KIND Pin because you signed up for the email list, please make sure it appears in your BackerKit order. To check, click on your pledge level in BackerKit and look for the pin in the list of items you’ll be receiving. You should see something like this below:
If you purchased additional Be Kind pins, your order should show a quantity greater than 1.
Please Note: If you do not see the pin, please email us and we'll work with you to get the pin added to your order. This is especially important for those of you who pledged with an Apple ID.

Fulfillment Timeline
We are still expecting to deliver your pledge rewards by June 2027. For international orders, we expect your shipment is slated to arrive July 2027.
Communication
We will be back with another announcement before September 23, 2026 to remind you that BackerKit is closing and your card is being charged. We'll also provide you with additional information about the campaign.

Honored friends!
Ahoo-hoo, and crackle crackle!! We did it! Thank you SO MUCH for making this Kickstarter so magical! Together we raised of $2.35 million in pledges, unlocked 16 stretch goals, 3 bonus quests, and revealed the first two chapters of the book!
A special shoutout also goes out to Melanie and Shannon from Team WBN for their tireless efforts behind the scenes!
And of course, we must thank Brennan Lee Mulligan, Aabria Iyengar, Erika Ishii, Lou Wilson for creating something so extraordinary that more than 18,500 backers came together to be part of this historic campaign
The good news is, your part is MOSTLY done. It's time for us to get to work on fulfillment but first we wanted to share some important announcements to help keep the fulfillment side running smooth.
Campaign Close
In the next 24 hours, your card should be charged as the campaign is now closed. If it hasn't, something has gone wrong and you'll need to contact Kickstarter as soon as possible!
If you opted for the pledge over time option, you first payment will be taken out within the next 24 hours. After that, your subsequent payments will be taken out automatically over the next two months until your pledge total is paid in full.
The BackerKit survey will be going out to everyone in approximately 3-4 weeks. BackerKit is a different site than Kickstarter so please ensure you're on the lookout for our emails coming soon. This is the stage where you will check all of the items in your pledge (including all the stretch goals you received), provide your shipping information, upgrade your pledge if needed, and get any additional add-ons you would like to purchase from the campaign! You MUST fill out your survey to get your rewards!
For Retailers
This is where you will be letting us know that you have a Lunar account in good standing, how many of each item you want, finalizing your shipping, and finishing your payment. As retailers you will have access to acquire the add-ons for your customers at the retailer discount + shipping.
Retailers, we will also be sending an email prior to the BackerKit survey so we can gauge about how many books and slipcases you're interested in getting. This is only an estimate and you do not need to have a final count by then but it is important that you fill this piece out as soon as possible once received so we can get an accurate count. The email will be coming from [email protected].
We will let everyone know via a Kickstarter update before the survey goes out. It's extremely important you fill the survey out as soon as possible so we can ensure you are receiving your pledge rewards on time.
Late Pledges
We have enabled "Late Pledges," which allows folks to pledge after the campaign ends at a 10% increased pledge amount. We'll be keeping this feature open until we open up BackerKit launches, in case anyone missed the campaign. Tell your friends! But for all official backers, fear not, your base pledge amount is locked in.
Future Updates
Once we send out the BackerKit survey, we will be shifting to posting about once a month. These updates will provide you insight into our progress and help ensure that we have your pledge rewards ready to go!
FAQ Questions
Some of you have been asking us to clarify some information in the campaign and we're here to help!
Q: I’m a Patreon subscriber, but I used a different email address to back the campaign. How will you know how to add the free comic to my pledge?
A: Not to worry! We have you covered. In a few weeks, we’ll send out the pledge manager survey through Backerkit. As part of that process, we’ll confirm the email address connected to your Patreon account so we can make sure the Kickstarter exclusive comic is included in your order.
And if, for any reason, you don’t see it listed when it’s time to review and confirm your order, just email us and we’ll make sure it gets added to your order!
Q: I pledged a tier where I get my name in the book. How can I let you know what name to use?
A: Excellent question! When we send out the Backerkit survey, we'll have a section confirming the exact name you want to use in the book!
Q: I didn't get all of the add-ons I wanted during the campaign!
A: This is ok! You'll have one last chance through Backerkit to get any last minute add-ons including the Mr. Soup Plush, the tote bag, pins, patches, prints, keychains, and more!
We will be monitoring the Kickstarter page periodically, but the best way to get in touch is via email. So email us at [email protected] and should be able to get back to you within 2-3 business days, depending on the volume of requests.
